  • September 2012 - AGM & Social Evening with a fascinating slide show with Brian Fletcher on the creation of Magdalen Hill Down's Butterfly Reserve
  • Summer 2012 - Wildflower seed collecting throughout the summer and autumn months
  • November 2011 - Many tree self-set saplings in local hedges were protected with canes and spiral guards against rabbit and deer damage
  • October 2011 - Grand renovation of Cliddesden's village pond
  • August 2011 - A trip for members to the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover
  • July 2011 - Organised a stand at the local primary school's summer fete raising funds for WWF's Save the Tiger campaign with face-painting and games
  • April 2011 - AGM & Social Evening with after an illustrated talk by Brian Clews on the successful reintroduction of the Red Kite
  • November 2010 - Weekend planting Bluebell, Snowdrop and Solomon's Seal bulbs in Pensdell Copse
  • August 2010 - Hedge surveying around the parish continues for the Parish Conservation Plan
  • August 2010 - A visit to Magdalen Hill Down near Winchester, an extensive area of chalk downland host to many wildflowers and butterflies
  • July 2010 - We continued our hunt for Striped Lychnis Moth caterpillars, a nationally rare species, on the dark mullein around the village for HWT
  • July 2010 - Day out for members exploring Pamber Forest with HWT's Graham Dennis where we saw an abundance of fritillaries
  • June 2010 - Organised a stand at the local school's summer fete with displays from the school's Wagtail Club, an after school nature club run by 3CG
  • May 2010 - Destination Basingstoke dinner at Festival Place where 3CG were awarded a grant of £200 by Ann Diamond
  • May 2010 - Celebrating National Moth Night with Mike Wall and HWT in Cliddesden Churchyard
  • During 2010 - Alison gave a series of illustrated talks to various Women's Institute meetings on the importance of caring for our native bumblebees. Over 1000 native snowdrops planted around the hedgerow bottoms in the fields at the back of Southlea along with 100 native bluebells and some wild garlic (ransomes)
  • Feb 2010 - The wildflower-rich verge and bank along Church Lane has been included in Hampshire County Council’s Road Verge of Ecological Importance (RVEI) scheme and will benefit from more sympathetic management
  • Sept 2009 - A brand new hedgerow planted along the length of the field behind Southlea undersown with over 80 species of wildflower to provide habitat and food for insects
  • April 2009 - AGM & Social evening with Hampshire Wildlife Trust sharing the delights of a garden full of beautiful plants and wildlife
  • April 2009 - Another splendid Dawn Chorus walk around Farleigh followed by another splendid breakfast at “Sabratha”
  • Feb 2009 - De La Rue Employee Volunteers planted 550 hedge trees around the grain-dryer and more trees around Cliddesden school playing field
  • Nov 2008 - Checking, recording and cleaning nest-boxes around the village
  • Oct 2008 - Hampshire Wildlife Group’s Watch members planted trees around Cliddesden Village Hall
  • Oct 2008 - 3CG volunteers - More tree-planting along Farleigh Road
  • Sept 2008 - Volunteers from Unum on a team-building day out – more hedge maintenance
  • August 2008 - Moth Evening with Mike Wall in Cliddesden churchyard
  • April 2008 - AGM & Social evening with an illustrated talk on British mammals
  • Nov/Dec 2007 - 300 hedge trees planted around school playing field
  • Nov 2007 - A thought-provoking talk and discussion with Eamonn Harding on Sustainability
  • Oct 2007 - Farleigh Road tree planting opposite Pensdell Farm – 1200 hedge plants. Native bluebells and 500 native daffodils planted in bank and verge
  • Oct 2007 - Employee Volunteering Network Project – the AXA team enjoying a hedge maintenance day
  • July 2007 - Visit to Winnall Moors Wildlife Reserve owned and maintained by H&IoW Wildlife Trust
  • June 2007 - Survey of Middle Copse undertaken with Joel Miller from HBIC
  • Easter 2007 - 1,000 snowdrops planted in Farleigh Road bank opposite Pensdell Farm
  • April 2007 - Survey of Buckshorn Copse undertaken with Jo HBIC
  • 03 April 2007 - AGM & Social with an illustrated talk on British butterflies by Dr Andy Barker of HBIC and the Butterfly Conservation Trust
  • 25/26 November 2006 - Hedge restoration in field opposite Otters Nursery. 1,500 hedge plants were planted to rejuvenate a very poor hedge and also infilling gaps in adjoining hedgerows
  • September to December 2006 - Wildflower plants have been introduced into verges to replace those lost by years of spraying and insensitive grass cutting. Also wildflower seed has been scattered in suitable places in set-a-side fields
  • 24 September 2006 - Autumn Nature Walk around the village with HWT
  • May 2006 - A survey of life in Cliddesden village pond with Amanda Basset from the HWT
  • 30 April 2006 - Dawn Chorus Walk – up before sunrise to watch the dawn and listen to the many birds welcoming the new day along the path from Farleigh Church to Bedlam Bottom. Finishing with a slap-up breakfast at “Sabratha”, Woods Lane
  • 28 March 2006 - AGM & Social Evening with a talk on British reptiles and amphibians
  • 11 March 2006 - Snowdrops, Wood anemones, native bluebells and a few other wildflower plants were put into the patch of ground at the village hall
  • 12/13 and 19/20 November 2005 - Planting of a new hedgerow along the public footpath from Headstarts Nursery up towards Farleigh Wallop Church and infilling adjoining existing hedges – 3,600 plants
  • 19 September 2005 - A Social Evening, held in the Village Hall, with an illustrated talk from Alison Cross of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust
  • 23 August 2005 - A Bat Talk & Walk with Paul Hope of the Bat Conservation Group was held at Cliddesden Village Hall followed by a walk around the village experimenting with bat detectors
  • April - August 2005 - Various surveys were carried out to discover and identify the trees, native wildflowers and grasses growing in and around the village. This is an ongoing project
  • 08 July 2005 - A survey was conducted - of the woodland flora around Audleys Wood with Joel Miller from HBIC - Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre funded by Hampshire County Council
  • June 2005 - Tree Preservation Orders currently covering various trees within the village were identified and trees along Farleigh Road and South Lea have now been photographed
  • 15 June 2005 - A visit was organised to Noar Hill, a Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust nature reserve
  • February 2005 - Several new trees were planted to replace the dead ones planted in commemoration around Cliddesden Village Hall
  • 12 December 2004 - 300 trees and hedging plants were planted to infill spaces in M3 planting
  • 27 November 2004 - Planting of a 7 year old oak tree in South Lea planting by Jonathon Evans
  • 20/21 November 2004 - 800 trees and hedging plants were planted to fill in gaps in the hedge in the three-corner field adjoining South Lea’s back field – more great community effort supplemented with an extra 200 hedging plants during the following week
  • 19/20/21 November 2004 - 2,000 trees and hedging plants were planted along the edge of Lord Portsmouth’s field bordering the M3 motorway on the right-hand side of Woods Lane – a splendid community effort in spite of the diabolical weather!
  • 25 September 2004 - To mark their formation, 3CG - the Cliddesden Community Conservation Group - held an Open Day in the Village Hall with many displays on different aspects of the local flora and fauna, with wildflower plants for sale
